Dear Nicodemus
This gorgeous piece you’re looking at is a fine art print. The original painting is called “Dear Nicodemus."
A little of the story behind it: Many parents connect to this portrait. They say holding their child is like holding their heart in their hands. (Beautiful! And sad when I then hear their stories of miscarriage, too). In the gospel of John, a man named Nicodemus asks Jesus, "what does it mean to be born again?" This painting is a visual response to Nicodemus’ question. It illustrates baptism, the moment of awakening to real life after the metaphorical death of the flesh (old heart). Buried beneath the waters, out emerges a new life: tender, innocent, and completely reliant on the good Father who holds the baby in his hands.
All of my colorful multimedia paintings are great to uplift and inspire the mood in any room, while keeping a contemporary style.
Express your care. Art prints make great for gifts for friends, teachers, family members, and any woman who needs inspiration and encouragement.
